Visual Notes create dynamic event experiences. Large-scale graphics are eye-catching, educational, and provide a pop of creativity.

Visual Note-taking adapts to any meeting environment. It’s perfect for engaging audiences through the action of live visual learning. And best of all, after the event you can digitally share your Visual Notes on social media or take your Visual Notes art-boards back to your HQ to display as custom artwork!

Looking to create impact? In 1 day, artist Virginia Montgomery can visually create up to 6 unique 40”x60” boards. That’s over 1,200 square feet of Visual Notes!

What is the Visual Note-taking process?

I use visual storytelling methods to translate complex ideas into digestible key themes. At workshops and conferences, I work “on-the-fly” in front of live audiences to rapidly synthesize and translate meeting ideas into large-scale murals. To make my Visual Notes, I work with ink markers on foamcore board or I work digitally on my iPad. As an experienced Visual Note-taker of 10+ years, I work fast. During an event, I keep pace with the speaker to ensure that when the speaker is finished presenting, my drawing is also completed. You may ask: “Can Visual Notes be used to represent themes unique to my industry/brand/product/service?” The answer is: “Yes!” This is because Visual Note-taking is essentially professional note-taking, but with the addition of dynamic hand-drawn, illustrated elements (added to make your content be eye-catching and memorable!)

Do you really draw “on-the-fly” while creating your Visual Notes?

Yes! The real skillset behind my Visual Note-taking is my unique ability to listen, write, and draw simultaneously. As an experienced Visual Note-taker of 10+ years, I am an expert in visual improvisation. For example, think of me working akin to how a skilled improvisational Jazz musician works. Except rather than working with musical instruments, I work with ink markers to create a dynamic live art experience for audiences.
